French Quarter Journal
We can't do it without you.

Reader Support

With the COVID crisis, alternative weeklies have been folding at such a phenomenal rate across the country, it's been called "Total Annihilation" for local journalism by Harvard's Neiman Foundation.

As a digital-only publication, French Quarter Journal has advantages, but we're also hurting.

We have a lower overhead than most publications, with no office, printing or distribution costs.  Our fabulous team is made up of freelancers and independent contractors.  But we're not invulnerable.  We've lost some annual sponsors over the past weeks. Since we're not a non-profit, we can't apply for grants.  And since we less than a year old, we don't have many annual business sponsors yet.

If only 10% of our monthly readers contributed $2 - $5 a month, we'd be able to face the coming year with a stable budget to pay the writers, photographers and support people who make the French Quarter Journal possible.

Please consider supporting us regularly through PayPal - which also accepts debit and credit cards.  Below you can donate annually or sign up to be auto-billed.

Thank you for your consideration!  The fact you're even on this page means you think highly of the work we're doing.  We take that as a compliment - and a responsibility.
