Fall: Parading On In

With the promise of cooler temps, New Orleanians - and visitors - start kicking up their heels in glee.

The 12th annual River Fest on September 13 at the New Orleans Jazz Museum (400 Esplanade) is the perfect opportunity to start the celebration!

The Jazz Museum is our favorite small festival venue - a state-of-the-art indoor performance space, stages where you can actually enjoy musicians without a Jumbotron, and fascinating exhibits to take in between sets.

The 12th annual NOLA River Festival celebrates the cultural, economic, environmental, and inspirational impacts of the Mississippi River and its inhabitants on the Crescent City and the entire Gulf South region.

The 25 Hour Play Festival

Marigny Opera House, 725 St. Ferdinand Street

Audiences will take part in this delirious celebration of creative spontaneity as they watch shows performed for the FIRST (and perhaps ONLY) time. There will be moments of transcendence, serendipity, and, of course...confusion.
